Paris Eye 5/30 - The beauty of the morning

Saturday was a delightfully sunny day, and on my promenade to The Tuileries, I had occasion to cross Pont de la Concorde, allowing myself a moment of pause, as my gaze swept east down the glory that is the Seine.

How did Wordsworth phrase it?
Earth has not anything to show more fair:
Dull would he be of soul who could pass by
A sight so touching in its majesty.
That pretty much covers it.

Ah Julie! Wordsworth said it so... well! La Seine is the heart of the city- sometimes sulking and afraid to show her face but today you have captured her beautifully in a moment of serenity and calm.
Now where did I put that lever??

I became a photographer after my last overseas trip, I wonder now what I would see and take if I were to travel again. I feel however I would groan under the overload of scenes to observe and photograph ... you are doing very well at keeping to the same style of things you take in Sydney.

Picture book stuff. I love the bustle of the people by the river. Was he on a boat?

DB - Yes, he was on a boat, and surrounded by his children. However, I waited until they were out of the view-finder.

Joan - I suspect that is because THAT is me! I have an extended range of subjects, but the style is still the same. Am building up a collection of signs. Have to restrain myself from reading all the utility covers in the footpath. And be aware of the gypsies ...

I'm enjoying your dispatches from Paris, and envying you just a bit.
