Once again, I took these shots from the Rushcutters Bay pedestrian overpass.
The road below me is New South Head Road, previously William Street as it wound its way from Hyde Park up to the top of Kings Cross.

The first shot shows a cyclist coming out of the cross-city tunnel heading east. The second shot is a bit more complex. In the very middle is the the on-ramp from Kings Cross if you want to head east. On either side of this on-ramp are the in and out of the the Kings Cross (William Street) tunnel. The 'road' on the far left is the road to the west beneath the entire CBD (cross city tunnel).
The final shot is facing to the east, and shows the Eastern suburbs railway flanked on either side by the short split of New South Head Road. Remember,here in Australia we drive on the left of the road.

I was reading your other blogs at work (lunch) but now I can't see them. Hope you are feeling better today! We are very similar Julie, Beechworth sounds awful bit like Byron Bay has become, like a theme park.

I also enjoy your photography. I use that centre on ramp to get from the Cross to the cross city tunnel to go west under the city. You are able to turn right at the bottom of the hill and swing around near the BMW dealership to go west through the tunnel under the city. It sure beats any other way of getting to Victoria Road from Darlinghurst Road.
I find these roads as confusing in your images as I find them when driving ... always getting myself in the wrong lane or something.
Looks more like a motorcycle to me.
I like the railway photo.

The first shot is very Jeffrey Smartish, although every shot of a tunnel reminds me of him.

Oh Lord I hope I never find myself driving in Sydney.. Perth is bad enough. I like your viewpoint Julie, very clear.
and yes I suspect you may be spot on, vintage is definitely just another word to describe second hand, but I guess twenty years second hand as opposed to last years 'out of date' gear!

I knew about the turn up into Neild Avenue (living at the top of it), but had not joined the dots to thinking that the off-ramp looped around at the bottom and back into the CCT. Makes sense ...
Hey Julie, Having not taken last years four weeks holidays allows for extra weeks. I arrive back in Sydney on Day 52 of my trip. And am back at work the following day. That should be fun!!!

There's a famous painting of that first shot, isn't there Julie. My mind won't bring up the name of the artist. Perhaps you know. I also remember the painting being used for a book of short stores, each one by a different writer and all inspired by that painting.
Well maybe I've got it all wrong but memory...
The first shot is along the lines of a Jeffrey Smart painting, as Mark pointed out. However, I am not aware of the book of stories ... interesting theme for it though.

Of course, Jeffrey Smart. I know I've got this book somewhere but can't for the life of me find it. Anyway it's called Expressway and I found it here on Ebay but it's probably sold on Amazon too.
