Green Park Hotel

A most atmospheric internal beer-garden sets this basic 1893 suburban pub apart from others. Along with the $5 glass of wine all weekend!

Whereas this pub is on the intersection of Victoria Street and Liverpool Street in Darlinghurst, Green Park itself is another 200m along Victoria Street and opposite St Vincents' Hospital. It is the park with this outstanding folly.

I've always liked that old bandstand that's been converted into a kiosk/cafe. The pub is a beauty too. Can't say I've noticed that particular one but I'll keep an eye out for it, next time I'm up that way.

A very picturesque pub and hotel, Julie, and a fascinating folly. I like the reflections in its window.

No doubt it's a good burger. Not sure about the blonde for $10. Even on a Tuesday.

Classic Sydney, I love a good folly and this is a beaut.
Please dont go to word press, I always give up leaving comments as it is so complicated.

I don't find hotels at all interesting (unless they are a Royal Hotel) but I'd really like to visit that folly one day. It seems like forever since I discovered a new Royal.

I'd have a beer or two there if I could.
