Oh for a lane, an alley, a row

This is the sort of streetscape that sets my curiosity afire. I don't give you tuppence for the gloss of the Pitt Street Mall, with its concrete and glass and designer stores, tickling brass farthings. Give me an alley, with a rusty fire-escape draped with potato sacks anytime.

Love all the lines.

Love your lanes and alleys. The contrast is good. Did you see my lane mural on Fremantle post. I thought of you when I took the shot.

Julie, you have captured the sense of "old meets new" in the angles of this b/w.

Wonderful contrast between the glass of the designer tower and the old bricks of the buildings along the alley. A truly Julie find!

I like seeing these. Not your usual Sydney shot.

Good to see these alleys opening up, the alley to the left has a new set of tables up near Druitt, and what are you doing with those farthings?

Agree Julie. Love laneways and the grunge around them. Great capture of the architecture and building angles in this alley shot Julie

Yes, the architecture is fascinating, but it is the dawdling people who truly make the shot. I had to wait and wait until I saw a specific bunch of folk bring my stage to life.
