I'm not sure what your question is but that is Hyde Park South between Bathurst/Elizabeth Sts on the Obelisk side and College St (Sydney Grammar School) on the other side.

Interesting photos, Julie.
Just watched the video of you, Alannah and the cats. I love it. She's wonderful. I hope you have lots of photos from Christmas Day!

Looks like Hyde Park to me. I especially loved those trees when they had all the fairy light at night ... appealed to the child in me.

Yep, the obelisk just down a bit from me, and Hyde Park.

The sphinxes would be better off without that electrical connection or what ever it is, but the image has lots of movement and energy. Having visited Sydney once twenty years ago I haven't a clue as to the location.

Yes, the 'stink' pipe, Hyde Park corner of Elizabeth and Bathurst Street.

I'm a bit slow with my visit today so everyone has beat me to the punch.

That's Hyde Park behind you and those are most certainly the sphinxes that adorn the obelisk, looking towards the Telstra office building on the corner of Bathurst Street and Elizabeth Street. If you look closely in one those windows you might see me at my workstation. ;)
