Ergonomic - It doesn' look it at all, does it, just awkward. And yes, I agree about the exahust pipes. Slipstream, and all that. for those who can picture it, this was around Grand Parade at Centennial Park. I got two shots of this bloke, and in both his feet are TOGETHER on that front wheel. Now how is THAT supposed to work, but he sure was working as hard as the other cyclists, and there were lots of them!
I believe they're very good on the back; you have that support; would love to try one. Wouldn't feel so safe on a roadside, even though they'll have a tall flag attached. Like your caption very much; well done!
INSIDE a shopping mall! How very rude of him! I hope he was chastised. I do not mind a motorised wheel chair, but this is something else yet again. The old and the disabled have this sense of entitlement.
At first I thought this was one of those handpedal ones that you sometimes see disabled people using (especially in third world countries) but its not. Is it engine driven?
*grin* ... no no ... I sat on a lot on the edge and judged when they would be in the sun. Then I kept snapping til I was happy. Would have been happier if I had it in focus, but panning is such a skill.
This is such an unusual contraption and it does look arkward both in appearance, and mechanism,but if it's being used by senier citizens I guess it's easier to steer than it looks!!

That just doesn't look comfortable! I've heard it's good for people with bad backs who can't cycle normally, but I'm not rushing out to try it!!!

He should have a tall orange flag so motorists can see him before he is even flatter on the road.
How anybody feels safe in a recumbent is beyond me. Completely invisible to the average driver... hope you're well Julie.
