Lounged on Quarry Green in Ultimo this afternoon mesmerised by this band of 4 blokes who had to be in their late 60s. Most of the songs they covered were from the late '60s. I think they were called 'Dick and his All-stars', but got the impression that was a name made up on the back of an envelope because they needed something. Their set was, perhaps, eight tunes. But the energy 'Dick' put out would have powered his own amplifier system. I hope he was able to luxuriate in a long bubble-bath in the evening.

Off his rocker!

looks to me like he was 'on' his rocker, spot on.
Fabulous capture julie. Bet the place was swinging when they performed.
Good for him and the band. I met a bunch of old time rockers at a rocj´k festival in Tungelsta a couple of years ago. They were in their sixties. The band that played just before them was 50 years younger.
Looks like he's having fun!!! When my hubby was "TheChief" in South Pasadena, many of the fundraisers we attended featured the band...The Grateful Dads!!! Like this guy...they all looked like they were having more fun than the rest of us...and we were having a ball!!!
Lovely portait.
You captured a great expression. I love to see oldies having fun and expending energy. Carol's father in law plays in a band and sings . They get a lot of gigs in clubs. He also is the entertainment on the Sunlander Train going to Cairns and back now and then.
Love it, you caught such an 'on top of the world' expression there Julie, old rockers are the best..mainly because they sing songs that I know the words to hahaha! Groovy!
The B&W adds to the portrait and theme! Nothing beats R&R played by life long enthusiasts.
I am not sure what to make of the old rockers and their age defying antics.
Keeps them young I suppose!
Thanks for the info re. the portal. Who'd want to hack it???? :-(
Geeks, who define that as being clever!
Yes, I'd forgotten... :-)
Great shot, Julie! Certainly looks as though he is enjoying himself!
Looks like lots of fun, though.

Great environmental portrait shot, Julie. You should send Dick a copy:-)
