Wonderful photo, Julie. My family in Torquay (at the start of the Great Ocean Road) are finding Oz a tad cold to be out surfing these days. PS. I clicked the link and was horrified to see my 'cake' entry on the wrong page. My fault. Must try and do better :)
Like the choice, Julie. Takes me back to tranquil days in my youth waiting for the good wave on the beaches of SoCal. Always like your posts about Bondi Beach.
Australians do find their tranquility by the sea, most of us live within 100kms of it. Also like your 'renovation', looks very smart and right for the cooler months.
Being at one with the waves - tranquillity for the spirit. I find the sea always seems to draw my worries into the currents and dumps them far out to sea! I don't argue with that decision!
Beautiful image Julie, looks great in B&W too, sort of 'vintage surfer'!I admire surfers their ability to focus on the wave, not what may be swimming underneath their dangling legs.

This photo really does say "Tranquility".. Great shot.
When I hear or read the words "Bondi Beach" I think of a wild and crazy place, not this tranquility. Super photo, Julie.
K
Feels like endless peace and tranquility to be in.
Please have a wonderful new month ahead.
Great theme day post, Julie. A lot of us Aussies went for the beach scenes, it seems.
Beside the ocean is definitely where I find my peace. Works wonderfully in b&w.

stay the waves
Surfer silhouettes and a temporarily calm sea, a perfect interpretation, Julie.

Makes me wish I could surf ... looks great in B&W too.
It is hard to assiociate tranquility with a beach here, but I imagine thatsomewhere else or simply in the off season this is possible.
Ah... the end of summer. A tranquil time for certain. I'm sure these guys are enjoying some of the last waves of the season.
Very tranquil, indeed. I need to visit Sydney again. Only time I made it I had to sneak some leisure around work!
Ha... this must be a very tranquil place, nice shot, Julie, good choice for this theme day!
Oh to sway in the waves...
Water can help build a tranquil mood, especially a calm sea. Nice shot.
