Tunnel Vision

It is a bit like this at the moment. Even when I come out of a tunnel, everything around me is indistinct and murky. Then, whizz, and I am into the next tunnel. Taken during my weekly train trip from Central to Fassifern, as the train negotiates the Hawkesbury River area. The order has been doctored, the better to weave a story.

Sound like things are quite hectic at the moment for you Julie.

A bit, Joe. But as soon as we have bought a house, and can stop looking, things will ease ... until we move!

Taking photos of tunnels ... such hard work because it is gone in a blink, contending with odd lighting, reflections on the window glass.

I remember trying get a shot on a trip to Lithgow. There is quite a run of tunnels just outside Lithgow so I got plenty of practise and just about zero photos of any worth.

I like being on a train going through a tunnel. I'm not quite as keen on driving through them, although I've done it many times, having spent most of my life in the very mountainous Canadian province of British Columbia, where many roadways are blasted through the rock.
Beautiful photos, Julie. I like the sepia tones.

These shots came out of the camera like this. I have not converted them at all. It was a tough day/week and these shots reflected my energy levels.
