I do not usually let any of my Spring Onions go to seed. My grandaughter is intruiged with the shape, and is curious to see what the flower will look like. |

Nice choice for the theme! (If you want to ignite your granddaughter's curiosity further, try growing garlic. The scapes and blossoms are amazing.)

It is often interesting to see what flowers accompany our vegetables.
I have ornamental onions in my garden and the flowers are quite pretty.
