Crossing the divide

Following the straight and narrow constrains: drumming differently enthrals. But it also corrodes connections: to thine own self, to family, and to society. Alienation is a step closer to destruction. The hackles are rising as the heat intensifies, casting light on both the fertile ground and the waste land. It is hard to be seen when living in a shadow.

And when we are in shadow how deeply we long for the light.

Philosophic conundrum. My head's spinning!

Don't worry - it's only the tarmac in the shadow - the grass seems to be doing pretty well! Neat fringe effect.

A tarmac is a desolate place to inhabit at the best of times, that alone in shadow. It is heart-rending to see people - and I am talking about people here - who are without an outside source of warmth trying to drag themselves out of the shadow using meagre reserves of internal warmth alone.

About Customs House: Why do you say is it under-used? The cafe at the bottom is always full, at cafe Sydney it's like there's no recession, and the library always seems to have lots of patrons. I always see it as a very vibrant place!
