Aurora Place, off Bent Street, City Touchstones by Kan Yasuda - erected in 2000 for the Sydney Sculpture Walk - is made of solid marble from Carrara, Italy.
This is stunning in its pure geometry. The photograph challenges our sense of up and down while at the same time mooring us in the solid spheres. Fabulous experience. Thank you.
A very creative angle. I don't know what it is about Carrara marble, but it seems that whenever something is made of it, they tell us, as they must be proud of using the best materials.
