Skywatch - The beacon descending

Walking home from work with a 10 minute interval between shots.

Making progress on the internet connection. The wait is unconscionable! I have mastered the posting, but not yet the visiting - for which I apologise.

I am still cleaning my old terrace. The garden is nearly dismantled - sod rolled up and transported last night. Now to have a glazier replace a pane (oops), have the cleaners clean what I have already scoured (an invoice is necessary) and then have the carpets steamed.

None of this ever seems to have occurred when I move into a new place ... mmm ...

Lovely shots. Happy skywatching.

Terrific SWF post. The second capture is captivating. Such unusual patterns in the sky.

Was this that amazing sunset a week or so ago that had the double rainbow and then went wonderfully gold?

Wrong guess on my shot, Julie. Its the clock tower on the old Dept of Lands Building and I think I took it from Farrer Place.

I thought all that heavy duty cleaning was done by the owner/agent, not the outgoing tenant. Certainly noone fixed the damage from my tenants after the house was rented for a few years. I had to force the agent to do it (badly) and it was way more than the bond.

Lovely shots! I especially like the first one with those yellowy cotton balls in the sky!

Great skyline shots, the first is my favorite with those strange clouds. Hope everything is going a little better, moving is always traumatic.

Why is is that I've always had to pay for the cleaning when I vacate in order to get my bond?? I'm enjoying your new walk.

Fantastic. Great shots!

I like how well you've used a standard 'boring' skyline to give your shots interest...something that I need to master!

I love a chimney pot. Reminds me of home...
I had to really look at the second one - is that out of focus barbed wire? Looks at first like clouds

I don't envy you all this moving in melarky. At least you've got the main part done now. Hope you're enjoying your uber-urban lifestyle!

Really stunning skywatch shots, Julie. And it sounds as if you're coming down homestretch with the transition between old and new home.
