... with open eyes, and a generous heart, there is awe 'round many a corner ...

Wondrous faces to reflect on!
Hi Julie,Very good pictures not easy to do, well done!Salut.Serge
Really enjoyed this.
These are remarkable little gems. Perfect for the theme day, perfect for any day. Bravo!
The lighting is incredible in the these photos & how you captured their faces has that 'WoW' factor! WoW!
Beautiful compilation of beautiful images! Great entry for today's theme and the season!
This post is just AWESOME!!! The kids are absolutely cute and the light is fantastic! Great work, Julie! And thank you for reminding me about the 'Waiting' theme day! (Glad Australia is 11 hours in advance! :-) )This time I would totally forget about it!...
Thanks a lot Julie for your comments on my blog, there are so helpful. I appreciate your visit.ByeSerge
These photos are beyond my imagining. I am sure there will be many prompted to think of the wonderous anticipation of Christmas looking at these images. What was the story being told in the windows this year?
As JE hints, often as you wander from window to window, a marionette story unfolds of some aspect of the Christmas story. However, this year each window depicted a carol: Silent Night, Good King Wenceslaus, I saw three ships, Joy to the World, etc. It meant that you could approach each window independently rather than needing to begin at the beginnning ...
Beautiful shots full of hope and wonder - well done!
.....Absolutely TOUCHING the wonderful children faces.....the details.....the warmth....COMPLIMENTI!!!!ciaoelvira
Wonderful expressions! I really like the little one in the last photo with their nosed mushed up against the glass!
Maybe it's the rainy day or the glass of wine I just had but I almost burst into tears when this image came up. I haven't seen any of the other submissions for Theme Day but I already know nothing else will be as good as this. Bravo, bravo, bravo, Miss Julie.
Fantastic shots Julie.Sydney - City and Suburbs
How did you manage to get these. They are stunning. Everytime I try and get shots of kids there they get hurried away by their parents.
You've captured the wonder and innocence so exquisitely here . . . timeless.
great shot good idea for this day theme
Julie, the first shot is gorgeous. so well done with lighting, perspective, and perfect little girl looking in awe. great capture.
Love these photographs, Julie. Your photograph is SO good. Superb choice for today.
Beautiful images. Good catch for expression of kids.
Wow! Beautiful photos! The much anticipated David Jones Windows.Does Myer have one too? I know the Myer in Melbourne has it, and I used to join everyone in going there to 'view' it. :-)
Not Myer in Sydney, KM. David Jones already had that as a tradition well before Myer established itself on a nearby corner.
superbe tes photos, et j'adore ton idée de théme
Beautiful and thoughtful. That was an age when waiting seemed always too long. A perfect choice for today.
You caught their wonder so beautifully, Julie! Lovely.
Theme day couldn't have been interpretated better than this. Waiting is the essence of childhood...Great photos.
Excellent pictures of those cute kids. It's really a great job for taking these kind of photography.Well done Julie!
Julie, I just had to come back to this ... the photos are so beautiful, now I have to find time to go look at the windows ... as much to see the wonder on children's faces as the windows themselves.
Awesome WAITING photos. I am particularly smitten by the angelic look on the faces of all the children. Super!
young girls waiting in wonder - yes quite different from my photo on Old Hyde - I have some other photos of the Travellers Call to post at a later date - then I may be able to show you what is there now - it was very much a last minute post.
Oh you know I'm all about these. What a fabulous set for us today. Perfect Julie. Just perfect.V
These are fabulous Julie. The expressions are so typical and perfect. Wonderful post.
At this point, it's all been said. These photos are just wonderful. Innocence, anticipation...Kudos to you.
