Looks different from your last two neighbourhoods .... captures the mood and elegance of your new turf well.

You'll have to do more aimless wandering...these are excellent examples of structures in your city...great colors and light!

Sometimes the aimless wander yields the most surprising and satisfying images.

I love the glass work, it looks very art deco. Wander away...I'll follow.

Aimless wanderings are fun. I like the collection of photos you got out of it.

Things look very lush and green where you are. I have to remind myself that for you it is late spring/early summer. It is getting cold and our trees are bare. Tulsa and Sydney are nearly opposite sides of our globe.

Amazing what you find on aimless wanders. The colours are lovely and the vegetation pretty. In my day i would never have equated colour and greenery with Paddington. How time can change a suburb from grotty to upmarket and I like it.
I've also noticed that i have lost archives too. I've been searching the help pages but have no joy. How are you going with the archives?
Just in case you don't return to my comments here is a copy of my answer to you.
Julie: That is six dgrees of separation. I wondered if you knew the buildings, such as they are. I hope the trust does something nice with them. We asked them if they could make one into a museum of colonial days in the Pacific in memory of all the young people who went into the jungles and tried to bring civilization to the native people. (Even though it hasn't been too successful)
Sorry to hear about the missing archives. I hope you can retrieve them. I am trying to copy my Migration to Australia stories onto a hard copy. So I don't lose them.

Oh absolutely, Julie. When I go out with my camera it's often to do nothing else, but aimlessly wander and what wonders we find and goodness, what wonders you found. beautiful shots here, gorgeous little corners. Your blog is so well named - you have a great eye.

Thanks so much for the reply on Menton DP. I really should know where Darlinghurst is but as is obvious I'd totally forgotten. Thank you for your very detailed reply. Makes me miss Sydney and Australia all the more!

As an aimless wanderer (I never thought of myself like that) I appreciate this post beyond the beautiful images. I love walking around the desert streets of an early Sunday afternoon. I have time to see things in a different way and I always find something interesting.
I'll steal your title for my next walk!

*grin* by all means, VP. I love to see that which captures your eye.

I was only musing when I posted this one, that I might do a regular "aimless wander" post on a Wednesday. I have moved to a delightful part of the city that has the most exquisite surprises around corners.

Everyone who commented seems to really love the idea of aimless wanders. The colourful blossoms really caught my eye.

I think I would love coming home to put my key in the door at 4A.

Kate: the colourful blossoms are bougainvillea which is well represented in this part of Sydney and mostly in crimson.

You have your personal touch and I find a good people photographer in you, I like particulary the one with the bubbles.

It give me great pleasure to look at these - I almost feel as though I am walking around those streets. I love therted flower in the first in front of the door - so unassuming and such a bedautiful shot.
