Skywatch - Gippsland idyll

Before me and behind me, the glories of a setting summer sun on the rolling hills of the Western Gippsland in Victoria, just outside Bena.

It does look idyllic. I'd love to have a picnic and a nap under that tree.

Peaceful and distracting all at once (could close one's eyes, but then one would miss the view).

Oh glorious glow and I'm so lost in the s-curve depth of this beautiful scene - I want to run toward the cows in the field. Beautiful shots - both of them wonderful colors and warmth!

Seems indeed as nature does write the best poetry.
A wonderful Friday for you.

It's amazing how much these photos look like Northern California. Lovely afternoon light in them.

Good composition in all of the pictures, I prefer the second one because the colours are better. In the first one the ligh is missing but I like the effect of the sun.
Bye.

Now what was that about needing a lens transplant to do countryside? A beautiful rural scene ... afternoon light seems almost liquid and tangible on days like this.

Such intense light in the second one! I love the composition and feel of the first one, with the source of light just off the shot.

I love the softness of the sun on the first photo. That's lovely.

I also did some Internet research and found out why they decided to put the fish weather vane on top of the courthouse.

The top photo is like a dreamy remembrance - so like the place I grew up in northern California, I can smell the hot air and dry grass.

These two images are amazing! These places should be used as a movie background.

Stunning. These are kissed by such a gorgeous light.

The light in both photos is fabulous, as the composition. They should be paintings.
