Mercredi dans exces de mauvais gout

It is a world treasure, but golly it was disgusting. So I dug deep, with you guys in mind, and found just a few treasures.

It was 26C today, and a glorious day. I sat on Louis' back step and had a ham and cheese roll (delicious bread). No cake in sight ...

I will never forget my trip to Versailles, it was as crowded as a Tokyo train at peak hour. The decor is so over the top ... you have been marvellously selective.

A good sandwich in an elegant setting is a gourmet experience.

Oh how wonderful!

Well, I guess if there's bread we don't need to let them have cake. What a gorgeous place to visit!

I liked the place but I was young and it was my first time in France. The curtain (?) cord is a beautiful shot. Come to think of it, what I mostly remember are the cheeses at the market in town.

Nefertiti: I will take that as a compliment to my choices. I deliberately tried to find simple shots to counteract the excess all around me. The first shot was in the HoM. The gardens I found to be a delight, but the day before I had been to Giverny!

I like the cord too the best. Watch out for your school girl figure.

So not a bad case of Wednesday gout, then?

Well, I am working on le gout, chocolat, fraises, fromage, pain et le vin rouge ...

These are samples one can enjoy comfortably. Great shots, and my vote goes to the cord shot, too. Have a marvellous time!

I love the details you chose. I agree; taken all at once, it's a bit much!

Strange, that we are about the same distance apart as we are when "home"!

Fantastic!!

J'adore les rouleaux de jambon pain français, ils sont tout simplement fabuleux

Julie said...

... mais, bien sur, avec fromage ementhal dans votre rouleau, oui,BB?

I think these details tell us as much of the story as a bigger picture would. The curtain cord is also my favourite - such rich colour. You really have the knack of getting the best saturation in your images. I've noticed that before.

Emmenthal sur le pain? Mais non! C'est bon pour les pâtes!! Camembert pour moi, s'il te plaît!! Avec du vin rouge, bien sûr. Je ne vois pas de mauvais goût ici, Julie.

Your details are finer than all that excess! :)
