A mote of beauty

Past the fallen bougainvillea blossoms, way down the lane ... what is that?

Nice shots Julie. I love the second one. Great still life with amazing colors.

What a wonderful carpet of petals . . . i just adore the byways of cities, all the little lanes and back driveways with overhanging fruit trees and flowers and all too often heaps of garbage as well, but what the heck it all belongs to a throbbing metropolis.

I didn't try to enlarge the picture, just squinted until I could see the oranges, two bright spots in the middle of the lane.
Super photos, Julie.

Possibly the loveliest mote I've ever seen.

The romantic in me loves flower laden lanes.

Such is your skill that you extract beauty from rotten fruit. It is all in the eye.

You must have a sharp eye or very strong glasses like me. Fantastic photos.

Too small for my eyes. Can almost smell those fruit.

Very evocatative of inner Sydney in the late summer.

A path scattered with bougainvillea confetti, bright pink... overhanging shrubs on the gentle incline... just beautiful, Julie

Love the vivid colours :)

What I love most about your photos is the vibrancy of your colours. You make even rotting oranges look beautiful!

Such amazing colour in a dingy laneway. Mirazozo at The Opera House is open to the public but strictly 'user pays'. It was $10 or $8.50 for groups of 4 or more.

Isn't that lane just the best ... textures and colours, aging beauty everywhere.

Leave it to you to find beauty in all that we overlook. THat's why I love your photographs so very much.

Nothing wrong with your eyes. I couldn't see them. You make rotten oranges look attractive.

I was in Oz last year at this time,. I learn from the aborigines a song/dance called Sasha.

I came back to New Zealand and taught my students. They love it.
