St Kilda, breaking the fast

It is always tempting to declare this joint, or the other joint, as one's favourite cafe ever! Evah is a long time, and encompasses many sins. However, I do enjoy 'Il Fornaio' which is on Acland near its intersection with Fitzroy.

My friend, Di, is not a coffee drinker, but instead is a gym-junkie. So, we have an agreement, that when she is slogging it out on the mats, I go down to MY cafe and have a delicious flat white together with a plain croissant, whilst skimming The Age.

Bliss!

Looks like a good place to be while someone else is slogging it out on the mats! Croissant... mmm!
Glad to read about Kirsten eating soft foods. Fabulous progress she's making! So happy for all of you.

Good deal, and a good photo. The name of your cafe sounds very familiar ;-).

Love how the purple tights girl has her legs crossed.
(Did you see Gurrumul Yunupingu is playing tomorrow night in St Kilda at The Palais? - we had tickets but now we have to stay in Ararat and take the dog for a little op - a mouth tumour of all things!!)

Sounds like the perfect arrangement Julie! I would probably lean towards the coffee and pastry myself!

During our 2 séjours in St Kilda, we were staying just a bit further up Acland Street. The coffee was very good here, as was the sourdough. How I miss good coffee and sourdough...
