Spruced up and looking in their prime!

As you know, the previous two posts to the contrary, Paddington is an upmarket suburb of the inner city of Sydney, much in demand, covering a sizeable area, with a well-heeled populace. The owners of this pigeon-pair have done a grand job!

Very nice! Is that tile right behind the gate or a rug?
Out of curiosity, are the bars on the doors & windows part of the design or a holdover from a previous time when the neighborhood might have been sketchier?

The bright colours on the doors are a nice touch.

Sketchier? That is an interesting term, Jeff. It is not one that is much used here. However, Paddington is rather high on any insurance company's list of 'break and enters'. It is well advised in nearly all our inner-city suburbs to have bars on all external windows. I simply do not 'see' them any more.

I like them a lot Julie - I'll take number 40 - very classy!

Very tasteful, its is sad about the bars, you would think a spiked fence would be enough of a deterrent.

I love this one! Such a nice mix of color.

Jeff - I forgot to say. Tile is used a lot in my suburb. That is tile you see on the garden path leading up to the porch. I have featured tiles on steps and paths before. I have collected more since.

Very stylish indeed.

I particularly like the colour scheme of 30. If it was me I would not think to make a bright door like that but clearly that is what makes these homes look great.

it does indeed look as if they've gotten "to the church on time."

I'm not too happy with that mean looking light at No. 38.

Fantastic restoration. Love the touch of having different coloured doors to set them apart.
