Sensuous to the touch

These belong to my grand-daugter, given her by a friend for Christmas. Smashing aren't they? Their shape, their colour ... and they are hollow and stack one onto the other.

They don't write on walls. They can't write on floors. They only write on paper. From what I have read, they were designed in Australia. Notice that: designed! That probably meants they are manufactured in that area north of us whose century it is going to be. Go get some. You will love them.

Now I have to remember to get another scrap book, as our current one is full to the gunnels.

Thank you so much Julie, you have just solved the problem of what I'm going to get my 2year old great nephew for Christmas, wanted to find something different, that he hasn't got already, perfect, merci beaucoup!!

Fabulous, Julie. I just e-mailed a link re these to a friend who is here with me, so it went from my computer, off into cyberspace, and arrived at her cell phone in the same room. Scary stuff sometimes, all this instant communication. Anyway, her sister has relatives in Australia who can probably help her order these for her granddaughter.
I love that they're stackable, and can't mark walls or floors. I've always had much admiration for people who can invent things. I've known lots of people who say "I'm going to invent something to do such-and-such" but they never get around to doing it.
All the best,
Luv, K

I think these are all available over the net, Kay. This is how they were purchased for Alannah.

I think I'll get some for myself, too.

Come to think of it, my brother who had the stroke likes to 'reproduce' Picasso. This might fit the bill that the OTs and I were talking about I will report back on Plumbing after the New Year.

Fantastic, Julie. I might get some for myself! I really like both of your photos, but the bottom one is so good with the out-of-focus effect leading towards the sharp background.

They ARE fun. But I am finding a combination of this new sort of crayon PLUS the old sort of crayon, is the way to go.
