I love this.. There are so many parallel lines and angles intersecting yet they compliment one another so well.. Monochrome is perfect for this..

Hi Julie,
Your last pictures are so good, they all have a "Sydney Eye" in them. Your comments are so differents and deep that they help me to improve my way of thinking.
Thanks,
Bye

I thought this was Eveleigh at first. Good strong diagonals and angles.

I like buildings like this, that are proud to be industrial. I really like the powerful zigzag line against the sky.

The first of the shots from my blog was originally in colour, but I hadn't set the white balance correctly so the snow had a blue tinge to it, so b&w it was. I shot the same scene at the end of last summer, and yes, the colours of the leaves were vibrant - but the picture, unfortunately, was blurry! Maybe in the autumn I will get it just right :)

Love the play of shadow and light on the roof.

It's nice these buildings are still there and being used. It would be even better if they were put to their original use. Good work Julie.

I like the "geometricness" in this photo; all the lines and angles are neat.

Waves with angles - what a challenge for the eye.

Please have a nice Sunday.

p.s.: just was wondering "what went wrong" to be missing in the right "further afield" section?

A wonderful photo - so many shades of black. The shadows and the pointed roofs are fantastic.
Cheers.

Someone above commented that you live in an interesting city ... but I have got to say for a fact that it is your Sydney Eye that is interesting. I lived very close to the PowerHouse Museum for several years and never saw that shot and I was a photographer by then so no excuse other than I don't have your eye ... though I did get some nice shots around Ultimo.

Geometry with light.

Light and shade. New and old. Shapes and lines. Awesome.

Thank you, Friends. Of the memes that I am a member, this is the most challenging to come up with an entry.

Wow Julie, you had your artist's eye in fine form when you shot this image.

Oh great light and composition - I like the squre pipe on the right side, making a 'stopping point' among all the geometry. Nice.
