The other day, I dropped into a 'convenience' store salivating for a cpp - it was hot, and I had been on my feet all arvo ... da da da da ... But he wanted $2.20 for it. The cpp I bought at the petol station out along the Putty Road was $1.60. The cpp I bought at the Pink Roadhouse in Oodnadatta was $1.60. The cpp I bought in Kununurra was $1.60.
Yet the cpp that I bought at the convenience store in Darlinghurst was $2.20. I wasn't dudded, because the cpp was still as delicious as always. But, I was gyped, because the store was more convenient, but less economic.
I guess I am a grumpy old something or other ...
