Yesterday bees, today ladybirds

There are good ladybirds, and bad ladybirds; just like there is good cholesterol, and bad cholesterol. But, be damned if I can remember which is which. From sight.

I know that good ladybirds eat aphids, and mould. I had dozens on my cauliflowers last year, but they were yellow. I know that bad ladybirds devour vegies, at a similar rate to snails, and green caterpillars from the white cabbage-moth.

But, this ladybird is red, Is it friend, or foe?

Dunno. But ladybirds of every colour enchant me.

Yes, I reckon he is an aphid-eater, and therefore, friend.
