Ding - Dingaling - Ding - Ding - Chink!! The lights are flashing all over my little geek-pinball-table with this one! I am inducted into the annals of Geekgodess!! Hah!!
They have varying names: sub-floor vents, air vents, air bricks. Whichever, I have chosen ones from older buildings - late 19th, early 20th century. Vents in the 21st century are a little more pedestrian.

Rats. You've pinched one of my ideas. I have a good one of the LPMA vent (we're Land and Property Management Authority at the moment), though I was going to try it in mono. The Mint Museum has some nice ones as well. Haven't seen the round or square ones before - very unusual.

Why exactly can't I rein in my ADD self to remember to do a collage such as this ? It's genius Julie and I love it when you do it. Damn, I just lose it in my O.L.D. fog I guess. How gorgeous these are. I don't think my city has the likes of these........but maybe they do and i've not noticed.

What an amazing and beautiful array of air vents! You have a great eye for details, Julie. I haven't even noticed if our buildings have such. The crown design in the Supreme Court's vent is gorgeous. I also like what looks to be the art nouveau style of the Mitchell Library's.
